Scottish Widows Bank is to close its phone
lines for its mortgage processing unit until Monday 17 March due to
high volumes of mortgage applications.
It says that in order to devote resources to processing these
applications and return service standards to normal, the mortgage
sales, mortgage underwriting and mortgage credit teams'
telephone lines will be closing at end of play today and will
reopen again on 9am on March 17.
Scottish Widows says that every effort is being made to process
applications as quickly as possible whilst maintaining the quality
of its underwriting.
The progress of each individual mortgage application will be given
as soon as key milestones are reached, as per its normal service.
Scottish Widows Bank remains open to new business and new mortgage
applications can still be made via the Scottish Widows Bank
website, MTE/Trigold and by post.
