Reliance Mutual has restructured its management team in order to cater for its increased growth and continue on its acquisitive strategy, the firm has announced.

The mutual is bolstering its senior team with Chris Lerpiniere to become head of operations and Roger Eastwood joining as head of corporate risk and governance.

Among other appointments, Philip Bowden will become head of strategy implementation, with responsibility for managing acquisitions; the mutual intends to continue to acquire closed books of life and pensions policies.

Just one member of staff is leaving, Andrew Prior, the company secretary, who is retiring.

Chief executive Mark Goodale said: 'We hope to see more acquisitions of closed books, and continue to grow out smokers annuity portfolio.'
